Does anyone know how MDM might work for Chromebooks? I’ve been able to get it figured out for Android devices but they tend to favour individual users.

Here are our business needs:

a) Affordable - we’re a charity/not for profit and I’m constantly challenged to keep my budget tighter than most.

b) Can control the user experience on the device to prevent misuse

c) Remote data wipes

d) Multiple user profiles on the same device - this is why we can’t effectively use MDM with android.

e) One of the main reasons for doing this is providing something that can process 2FA requirements since not every user has a mobile device.

In my testing, I had the androids working 95% of what we needed. You can use the 2FA app to approve Microsoft logins on the same device, push specific apps while locking the store down. (Only issues I had were with printing over the network and since Samsung apps were blocked in the process I had to find a camera app to replace the onboard one.)

It works great, but only for a single user. We have group homes with 5-6 users per day that could be using the same device.

I honestly think if we switch to Chromebook, we’ll be no better off than Windows systems and have to rely on cell phone for staff or having Microsoft call the location.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer
