Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will only come in one size, latest leak reiterates

It’s been relatively clear through recent leaks that Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will only be offering a single size option, but now another reliable source is pretty much cementing that as fact.

Since 2021’s Galaxy Watch 4 series, Samsung has been releasing “Classic” iterations of its smartwatch as the option that retains a rotating bezel around the display. The Watch 4 Classic and Watch 6 Classic have both offered the same specs as their brethren, just with that added physical functionality and a higher price tag to match. They’ve also come in multiple sizes. One small, one large.

This time around, though, things are changing.

We first heard about the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic only having a single size earlier this month, and now the fairly reliable leaker that is @MysteryLupin is chiming in to corroborate that detail. In a post on Twitter/X, it’s said that Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will be available solely in a 46mm size, with “Black” or “White” color variants available in Wi-Fi or LTE options. Further sending the point home is that the same leaker detailed that the base Watch 8 will have 40mm and 44mm size options.

While today’s report doesn’t say much new, it just cements that the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is a departure from the pattern we’re used to. For smaller wrists, this new smartwatch just might not be right.

What do you think about the change?
