Apple introduces new Beats-branded cases for iPhone 16

Following the iPhone 16 keynote, Apple has added a new Beats branded iPhone case to the Apple Store.

The company describes the case as having a “hardshell polycarbonate back”, and it’ll work seamlessly with Camera Control. The case has a sapphire crystal, coupled with a conductive layer, that way your interactions with the case can pass through to the physical button on your iPhone.

The cases start at $49, similar to Apple’s silicone and clear cases. Apple says the Beats-branded cases have gone through thousands of hours of testing, and that it’ll protect your iPhone from scratches and drops.

They come in four fun colors: Midnight Black, Summit Stone, Riptide Blue, and Sunset Purple.

The new cases work with MagSafe, which will now charge your iPhone as fast as 25W, and are “precisely crafted to fit the design and buttons on iPhone 16.”

If you order one today it’ll come as Soon as Wednesday. It’ll be interesting to see how these cases feel. They’re made with post-consumer recycled materials, with 100% fiber based packaging, and 100% recycled wood fibers.
