What Up NW Ohio! (or anyone close),

I’m Dan, and I’m I.T. at a Credit Union in the Toledo area. I would like to start a Spicecorps of NW Ohio. Really I think we have a chance to do a 3 state Spicecorps because I want to welcome anyone close enough from the Indiana and Michigan area as well as peeps east of Toledo. There are two others in our I.T. Dept. who will be involved, and we just packed up and visited the Spicecorps or NE Ohio to get a feel, which big thanks to them cuz it was a good time!

We have places to meet and contacts to help get us additional content for the meeting’s, and I like organizing and MCing events so my goal would be to make it as fun as possible. I really think It would benefit us as a dept. to make more Spicehead friends and talk shop.

So if your out there and you’d be interested in doing a meeting in our area, say quarterly, do me a solid and comment so we (and Spiceworks) can get an idea of numbers.

I think at the last Cincinnati Spicecorp meet up we had people from Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. I’m originally from around the Lima area and have family around VanWert too. Good to see that more groups are being formed in Ohio!

We were glad to have you at the NE Ohio meetup last week, and you are certainly welcome to any of our future events.

I would suggest that you PM Jessica N , she is the SpiceCorps guru and will be able to help you along in the process.

Thanks Ed, it was a good time at the Eaton center! I just heard back from Jessica so it sounds like were on the right-ish track. I just had a crazy idea for the future. If all of our Ohio groups grow, we could do like a mini Ohio Conference once a year and combine all our groups! A geek can dream…

Yeah, I responded too quick there then noticed your link so figured I respond where you requested. I’ve been on the Columbus and Detroit lists for a while but haven’t been able to make their meetings. Hopefully we can gain enough interest to start a group here. Let me know if you need any help in the mean time.
