The sale is bringing costs down from its $1,499 full price tag, which we regularly see drop between $999 and $1,099 during sales, occasionally falling further to the $899 low in flash events like this one. For the low price, Heybike’s Mars 2.0 e-bike provides solid commuting support, especially for those on a budget. It’s been equipped with a 600Wh battery that carries you for up to 45 miles with its five pedal-assistance levels activated and reaches a top speed of 28 MPH (should you live in a state that allows that speed). All that is achieved with the standard 750W motor, which has the option to upgrade to a 1,000W motor for $200 more, ramping up that top speed to 32 MPH at the same time that it produces more power to tackle inclines, handle increased payloads, and more.
I’ve come to really love folding models like this, as they are great space-savers for those living with limited storage space. Your rides are protected from premature ends thanks to the puncture-resistant fat tires (each with fenders over them), while the integrated rear cargo rack allows for some added versatility for errand running and the like. There’s also the Shimano 7-speed derailleur, an LED headlight and taillight, and an LED screen for setting controls. Upgrading to the 1,000W motor also brings the benefit of upgraded hydraulic disc brakes for greater stopping power in a pinch.
