9to5Toys’ Take

Let’s get one thing out of the way right now so I don’t waste anyone’s time here. This is a Harber London bag crafted in Spain from full grain leather – it is gorgeous, elevated, and wonderful to carry around, but it is very expensive. If you’re not the type that can appreciate this sort of approach, there’s not a whole lot of reason to continue reading on. But if you like what you see here and might be considering a splurge, be it now or when this bag goes on sale, there’s a lot to love here.
Another to get out of the way quickly here is the leather build – it is absolutely gorgeous, sumptuous, and as good or better than something you might get on some designer bag for quadruple the price. It is an extremely soft leather too, not the sort that lands on your doorstep with a super stiff vibe that needs to be worked in.
On the inside, you’ll find a soft, almost suede-like interior with patches of matching leather atop and lining the interior pockets. On one side there is a larger open pocket large enough for just about any modern smartphone, and on the other, a zippered pouch fronted by a pair of smaller open pockets. Inside of the zipper compartment you’ll find a small stitched leather pocket designed for your AirTag, or a tracker of some sort.
For me, the overall size is a good one – something akin to your average belt bag, but with a slightly more fashion-forward squared-off shape that can stow just about anything I might need that doesn’t require a backpack or a larger messenger bag.
The real highlight of this bag outside of the leather treatment and premium interior is what the brand calls a “Military Grade Buckle.” I’m not sure how military-grade it actually is, but I really like it.
It is a thick, chunky metal application that is incredibly robust. Not only does it immediately elevate the look of this bag for me, but it also makes the whole thing standout in the best way possible – there’s a ton of leather shoulder and crossbody belt bags out there, but not very many that combine this premium leather vibe with an almost industrial-grade buckle like this.
The two tone buckle features a steel with almost bronzed clasps that act as release triggers – it works a lot like some kind of industrial seat belt so you can take the bag off your back without looping the strap over your head. The buckle clicks together with an extremely robust snap, releasing only if you engage the bronzed teeth – it feels extremely secure and rugged considering this is very much a casual, and luxurious daily carrier.
But beyond that, we are still left with the hefty price tag here. This bag is simply gorgeous, but it is an extremely expensive one, and so much so that even folks who absolutely love the look of it as much as I do will simply just refuse to fork over that kind of cash. Is it worth that much though? Probably. But I do recommend waiting for a sale to pull the trigger nonetheless.
