Seamless simplicity

Eve Button communicates directly with your home hub, ensuring an effortless setup while eliminating the need for yet another bridge. Press once, press twice, or press and hold to control a light, power outlet, or any connected device in your home. Better yet, activate scenes in which multiple devices work in unison.
Everyone is connected
Streamline your kids’ homework and bedtime routines. Put guests in charge of lighting and entertainment, so they can feel right at home. And be sure to keep a master button, or two, just for yourself. Everyone wins.
Button up your favorite devices
Easily set Eve Button to control everyday necessities, such as a connected lamp. Press once to switch it on. Twice to dim it to 50%. And hold for less than a second to switch it off. No swiping, tapping, or talking. Just instant, tactile control.
Button up your entire home
Keep a scene handy for summer night celebrations. Employ one to switch on selected lights as you dash out after dark. And reserve another to shut down lamps, appliances, electronics everything except nighttime essentials all at once. With Eve Button, you control your connected home with ease, and it feels natural.
Button up a whole room
Assign three scenes to Eve Button to set the perfect mood for any occasion. Single-press for your 'Evening' scene, which shuts the shades and turns on lamps. Double-press for your 'Relaxation' scene that cues your ambient lighting along with some music. And hold to prep everything for your favorite game, movie or series. Create scenes once. Use them as you wish.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2018First off, I will say I had some issues originally setting it up. I was trying to use my old Apple TV, and couldn't get it to synch up. I decided to upgrade to the 4th Gen Apple TV and since then no issues. Easy connectivity. Currently using for lights in our living room. Mostly using it to turn them on and off and that's it. If there's a knock at the door and it's late, I'll use it to turn them on. Alternatively, some nights we like to leave the light on in the living room to make the appearance of someone being awake, mostly security feature. If we forget to leave them on, my wife will hit the button from bed. Have had a few issues with lag as others mentioned, but it's mostly spot on when I push the button, the lights go on or off. I'd recommend to anyone wanting additional home automation features.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2018I own a few Elgato Eve products, and this is the first of the new style range with the aluminium surround, which is vaguely reminiscent of an iMac design aesthetic. This is also the first HomeKit gadget that comes with the new style QR code to enable you to add the device to the platform.
The 8 digit code is still there too, so if you prefer to just add the digits, that’s still possible. As with most, of the Eve range, this is a Bluetooth only product, so there’s no wifi chip. This is good if you don’t want to swamp your Router with connections, and it’ll still work if your internet goes down, although remote access won’t work in this case. The downside of Bluetooth connectivity is that the range is slightly more limited than wifi, so this does need to be within about 15 metres of your hub – in my case the Apple TV4K. I use this in the bedroom, where my Apple TV is also located, so it’s not an issue personally. The button is powered by a standard, circular CR2032 battery and should last between 6-12 months.
The button itself is fairly straightforward, with 3 different presses controlling three scenes, combination of scenes, or simple actions. So, you have a choice a single press, a double press and a long press. These buttons can be programmed in any of the HomeKit compatible apps, including Elgato’s own Eve app.
The button also comes with instructions, and a large set of stickers, containing everyday icons that are designed to aid you or a guest understand what functions the button is programmed to perform. I personally avoided using these, as I’m prone to change the scene and what the button is tasked to do, so I’ve just relied on my memory.
One interesting thing about the button that a lot of people haven’t really touched on is that even though you only have three button press actions, you’re not limited to three corresponding actions/scenes. To achieve a lot more from the button, you simply add time-based conditions to the relevant button presses; for example, you could say that the single click turns on your bedroom lamps, but only during the evening or overnight, while in the daytime you could program the same single press to turn on a fan or air purifier. It’s important to note this level of granular programming isn’t possible in the standard Home app, but 3rd party apps, like Elgato’s, the Hesperus, or Matthias’ ‘Home’ app do have this ability.
Having used this device for about a month now, I can say while it’s now groundbreaking, it certainly has it’s uses and as it isn’t designed to be mounted on a wall, it can be moved around as you please. My wife uses it every night to set the bedroom lights to go out and the night light to come on between the hours of 11pm – 6am with a single press, and a double press for emergency lighting (we live in a place with regular earthquakes and tremors!).
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2023For what these are, I thought they would be great. They integrated easily into HomeKit, but after periodic use, some of their programmed functions weren’t completing. The button in my kitchen had a programmed long press to turn all the lights off. Long pressed, nothing, after attempting 5 times, checked that the button was still programmed, and it was. Single tap and double tap worked great, but the long tap wouldn’t work.
Then I saw that Aqara had buttons for ~$10 which required a hub. I decided to return the Eve Buttons, and invest in Aqara’s system which I have been very happy with.
I have several other Eve devices that I am happy with, but these didn’t do it for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2018Works great for me, and I'm left wondering how so many other have issues with it. I'm not saying issues aren't happening with some people, but my experience has been wonderful. I skipped downloading the Elgato app completely and just set it up with the Apple Home app. Synced right away and works every time. I especially appreciate the build quality. My only complaint is the shiny plastic on top. If you've been eating anything at all and touch that button, the fingerprints are pretty gross.
I have mine setup like this:
1 press: "I'm Home" scene (I call this the babysitter button since all my lights turn off when my wife and I leave the house, leaving the babysitter in the dark, confused)
2 presses: "Someone is at the door" (it's dark outside, so if someone knocks on the door while I'm watching TV, this lights up the foyer and porch)
Long press: "I'm Watching TV" scene

- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2020I wanted this to work so bad. It has a huge lag of up to 10 seconds, like other reviewers mention. If it was reliable I would still use it., but it is about 50% for me. I am a few feet away from my AppleTV and 10' from my HomePod Hub. I also have about 20 other devices that work fine and several are BT devices. It just doesn't work well.
And the support on their site is even worse. It doesn't have a number or an email. It drives you through their preselected problems and responses and does not allow you to let them know any real issues. Not support is allowed at all. VERY bad EVE. Very bad customer support.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2021For several months the scenes that are programmed into our Eve Buttons are randomly triggering in the middle of the night, waking my household, and also throughout the day. I have ZERO automations and ZERO location based triggers. There's a recent Reddit thread all about this and the consensus is it's the Eve Button's fault. Once the Button is removed from the Home the issue stops. NOTE I have removed the Button, reset it, and added it back several times with the same terrible result (random scenes triggering). Unless Eve has a concrete solution to this, I'll be honest, I want a refund or credit for the 2 Eve Buttons I have purchased. These are costly products and they have caused plentiful anguish for us. We like the functionality of the Button if it functioned properly

5.0 out of 5 stars Buen dispositivo para controlar accesorios

4.0 out of 5 stars Pricey but good
This falls in between aqara and flic for me. Looks for me are 10/10. Value is more like 6/10. Built solid. Doesn’t look as cheap as aqara. I was surprised that there was no magnetic attachment or double sided tape in the box too. All that is comes with are rubber feet. The only cons are price, and the fact that it shipped with 40% battery for some reason.

3.0 out of 5 stars Small, easy to set up and works as a 'simple switch' that I needed for HomeKit
Edit: I lowered my rating after using for 2 weeks.
I was immediately surprised how small this is. Put a strap on it and it could pass as an Apple watch! Setup was fairly easy although I needed to set up new scenes in the Elgato app (Lights on Eve, Lights off Eve) as the button had trouble reliably triggering the built in ones in HomeKit. For the simple task of turning lights on and off without reaching for your phone, this works ok. Biggest complaint is that there is often a noticeable lag between you pushing a button, and getting a light to turn on or off. Enough of a lag that I found myself pushing button again before it had time to respond to the first click. A bit frustrating, and I hope there is a firmware patch that fixes this.
For what it does, it may be a bit pricey. It has a lithium button battery which often do not last long and can be pricey. Not sure why they just did not use standard AAA batteries.
