- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2022I ordered this Magsafe wallet to reduce the amount of stuff I carry around. My regular wallet has an awful lot of stuff in it and in reality, I generally only need my drivers license for ID and the one credit card card I use for merchants who don't take Apple Pay.
When looking at the Magsafe wallet, I had a few basic questions:
1) Will my phone or the wallet erase card mag strips? The answer is no, it shouldn't. According to the wisdom of the internet, there are Low Coercivity (LoCo) and High Coercivity (HiCo) cards. Credit cards and driveres licenses are High Coercivity and are harder to erase. Hotel keys and parking lot tickets are Low Coercivity and easier to erase. Apple says that Magsafe won't erase either, but other sources point out that even a non-magsafe cell phone might erase a low coercivity card. I've personally had hotels keys go dead when kept in the same pocket as cell phones, so I'd continue to keep them in another pocket.
2) Will my cards fall out of the wallet? I have tried from one to three cards in the Native Union wallet. none would fall out even when shaken. To the contrary, I had to pop the wallet off of my phone and use the finger slot on the back side to push the cards out. This is a minor inconvenience, but one I can deal with since generally make purchases by waving my watch of a point of sale to use Apple Pay.
3) Will the Magsafe wallet stay on my phone? I'd say the answer is "It depends". I keep my phone in a fairly loose pocket in cargo pants and it stays just fine. If I were wearing jeans and keeping it in a tight hip pocket, it might be more likely to detach. So, it depends on how you plane to carry your phone. Since the wallet is attached with magnets and not adhesive, it can always be separated and carried in a separate pocket if my choice of clothing on any particular day makes that a better solution.
4) Charging - Magsafe can't charge through the wallet and a phone with the wallet won't stick to a Magsafe car mount. It needs to come off for that. You can use it with a cord though.
Specific to the Native Union wallet, it is made of a high quality synthetic leather although it looks and feels like real leather to me. The product is neatly and attractively assembled.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2024when I first ordered this wallet I thought it was a stick on wallet. Unfortunately, my cellphone cover wasn’t magnetic and I wasn’t able to use it. I held on to it and made sure my next case phone cover was magnetic.
Glad I did because this is a very nice and durable wallet. small and slim but strong. I don’t keep anything more than my ID, metro card, and maybe a credit card. I’ve had it on for a while now and it still looks new.
Very nice wallet with an elegant and simple black design.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2022I don't buy leather products, but I like MagSafe wallets, so I was eager to try this out.
I own two other MagSafe wallets: (1) a generic PU-leather wallet that looks pretty similar to the official Apple leather MagSafe wallet, and (2) a stretch-fabric wallet.
It's a touch bigger than the wallet I was previously using, but it does still fit perfectly on the back of an iPhone 12 Mini Silicone MagSafe case. It doesn't go past any edge, or go onto the camera bump.
The case fits 2 or 3 cards. The material definitely looks more convincingly like leather than the much cheaper generic PU leather MagSafe wallet I was using before. Overall, the quality is decent. One nitpick: the logo printing on my wallet wasn't totally straight and is a little crooked.
Now, for perhaps the most important part of this review – magnet strength. I had high hopes given the overall quality of all Native Union products I've owned before. The magnet is okay. It's a bit stronger than the really cheap PU-leather wallet. However, it's still weaker than the generic stretch-fabric MagSafe wallet I have. I was hoping that this would be a good bit stronger, like as strong as a MagSafe puck, but alas… it's not.
Overall, it's pretty nice, but for the price I was expecting more of a jump in quality, so 4/5 stars.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2023I think it's not bad but the delivery lost this wallet and Amazon can't replace or pay me the money so think before you order this product
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2023I got this for the times when I don't need/want to bring a purse. I've been wanting one of these and this one looked like it was quality made. The case its self is nice, the magnet on the other hand does not stay attached to my phone I have a very thin case on my phone and thought there would be no issue with magnet strength, but for me, it does not work.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2023I've never used a magsafe anything before with my phone, but I thought I'd give it a shot for running to the store when my hands are always full and my phone's in one of them.
Fits 3 cards nice and snug, has a thumbslide to get them out. Magnet is nice and strong, which is why I was always weary of putting cards in there, but so far so good. Made of real leather and minimal branding is present. White text on the front and stamped on the back.
Feels super sturdy and will stick on your phone well. If you need quicker access to your wallet and it's easier than going into your pockets or purse, I recommend this magsafe wallet.
And it's native union, there stuff is always nice. It can in a bag that is just begging to be reused. No plastic packaging. Very nice.

Transparenzhinweis:

5.0 out of 5 stars Tres mince et bien fini
