- Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2025This hub is an excellent companion for my Apple MacBook Pro M4 Max.
It delivers exceptional speeds, enabling me to connect three monitors and multiple hubs with RAID drive enclosures and various single HD enclosures. The USB3.1 connectivity provides remarkable performance, ensuring seamless transfer speeds. I have not encountered any issues with the wake-sleep features, transfer speeds, functionality, or connectivity.
To optimize performance, I exclusively use USB3.2+ and Thunderbolt 4+ cables.
All cables undergo rigorous testing using cable testers such as ChargerLab KM003C and BitTradeOne ADUSBCIM.
I strongly emphasize the significance of utilizing high-quality cables when utilizing a hub from a PowerBook or portable.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2024With most new laptops, you're limited by the number of ports. I'm using this with my 2021 Macbook Pro to connect a 5k monitor, external storage, a DAC, keyboard, and trackball. Previously used several other hubs and this is by far the least fuss. The Macbook Pro was my everywhere machine for at least a year, running both MacOS and Parallels Desktop with Windows 11 for ARM, and I have never had any problems. The Macbook traveled with me and I keep the Satechi at my home station. One connection, and I have power and all peripherals. Greatly simplifies things.
Before this I'd used several other brands and none of them were as solid or trouble free.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2022Bought this for my MacBook M1 Pro to connect 2 external displays using USB-C and with other peripherals, like external speakers, and to power my MacBook. Wanted to be able to just connect one Thunderbolt cable to my MacBook each time I swap between office and home use of my MacBook. Was using wrong type of USB-C cable initially for one of my external monitors initially which did not work - customer support was responsive although figured out issue myself. Lack of HDMI ports may bother some but I’m fine with USB-C for my monitors (and adapters could be used if HDMI necessary for monitors). Quite pricey but still cheaper than a number of others I looked at and there was a discount when I bought it, which made up for the cost to ship to Singapore which wasn’t cheap (and had to ship through another company as it didn’t ship from Amazon US to Singapore). I like the built and it’s working great so far, and I’ve been a fan of Satechi products for my Apple devices.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2025This hub is honestly excellent. I purchased four different ones (another Satechi hub, Sabrent almost double the price, Kensington, Cable Matters), and even under heavy file transfers, this hub produced little to no heat. The Sabrent got extremely hot, and the Cable Matters did got pretty hot as well. Ultimately the only reason I returned it was because the Cable Matters supports Thunderbolt 5 as does my new Mac. For the sole purposes of futureproofing, I decided to return this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2023I hate to leave a bad review, but I feel like I should share my experience. My experience is based upon using this Satechi Thunderbolt 4 Dock 11-in-1 with a MacBook Pro M1 16".
I really wanted to like this unit, however the Audio Out had an issue where it was setting the volume to MAXIMUM and changing the balance all the way to one side. Every time I rebooted my machine or changed the sound source the volume would get changed to Max, which was so loud that sometimes it scared me right out of my chair because I’d forget that it was going to happen.
Satechi was very responsive to my emails, but they were unable to resolve the issue via any kind of software fix. They suggested that I had a bad unit, so I exchanged it for a replacement unit and the second unit I received was even worse than the first one because there was no audio at all! The Macbook did not see the Satechi audio port, so for me it was unusable.
I ordered the QGeeM 16 in 1 Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station as a replacement and I was a little nervous that I might have similar issues. Maybe I had a problem with my laptop? NOPE. The audio is working perfectly, Every port on the QGeeM is working perfectly. Plug and Play at its best.
Also, the arrangement of the inputs on the QGeeM is superior in my opinion to the Satechi.
All of the items that I plug in and basically never touch again are in the back. All the empty ports are up front facing me. I like this arrangement much better. I am very happy right now!
I wish the Satechi would have worked out. I do appreciate their responsiveness to my issue, but ultimately they were unable to identify what was wrong. Obviously something is wrong with their unit because the QGeeM is working and the Satechi did not (twice). I hope they identify a fix, but for now this was a no go for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2025I have a little bit older MacBook and wanted enough thunderbolt ports for the few thunderbolt devices I have. This hub is a great start. Unlike a lot of the hubs I've found, it has multiple upstream Thunderbolt ports. A lot the hubs just have one downstream and one upstream and then everything else is regular usb-c ports.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2025Docking station works perfectly (Dell Latitude, 2 Espresso Monitors via 1 USB-C cable for each display for power and data, delivering 90% brightness (Thunderbolt 15W max is limit, not the dock) plus camera, fingerprint sensor, Poly conference speaker).
Included T4 cable was defect, luckily I just received a new T5 cable which I used instead. Contacted SATECHI, no excuses but apology and quickly sent me a replacement cable (top end T4 cable!). All good and happy.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2022I have a 2021 M1 Max MBP and two Dell 4K 60hz monitors that work great when plugged directly into the MBP (both 4K@60hz). However when going through the dock I only get 30hz on one. I can switch it to 60 but the screen flickers on and off constantly.
I thought a TB4 dock would be a no brainer with this computer, but apparently not. On the plus side the build quality is fantastic. Either way, will be returning.

Excelente produto. Como tudo da Satechi, a qualidade impressiona.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but works great
Overall it works great, stable, no issues (except mac / screens). I use it regularly with mac and pc.
Dock setup
* Sateshi thunderbld 4 dock
* Dell S2721QS monitors (x 2)
Mac
* MBP 16inch M1 pro chip
PC
* Dell XPS15 97560
Issue with Macs
* My mac setup does have an issue when I connect my monitors (4k @ 60hz) using a USC-C -> Display port cable. the screen will flicker when hitting 60hz (you can easily go to youtube, chose a video and hit full screen) otherwise it will flicker every now and then.
* The solution was to switch to USB-C -> HDMI cables. Not ideal but this allowed me to have 4k @ 60hz with no flicker (two screens)
* This seems to be a mac issue since this also happens with my caldigit TS3+ dock

no me ha fallado una sola vez, creo que compraré otro como back up por si acaso
- JPReviewed in Canada on December 29, 2023
5.0 out of 5 stars It does exactly what it is intended to do
Product works great. I know some have mentioned that it overheats but this has not been my case so far. The unit gets a bit warm but you expect that with any microprocessor based product. I run mine with a Universal Audio interface and an LG 5K monitor. It not only cleaned up the “mess” of TB cables out of my MacBook Pro, but also made it so much easier to disconnect when taking my laptop on a trip with me.
