[UPDATED: February 12, 2019]
I have been getting this question a lot lately from Spiceworks Users so figured I’d write a post to simply point out what you need to fill out to get your 100 points and go from Pimento to Sonora (or if you’re already higher level, 100 Spice Points towards your Spicyness!).
While there are a lot of different fields and areas you can fill out, these are the only ones required to get 100 Spice Points. I’ve also updated this to denote which fields are generally hidden from public view (meaning that info isn’t publicly displayable and only goes to Spiceworks):
-
Avatar [Photo]
-
First Name [Title Card]
-
Last Name [Title Card]
-
In IT Since [Title Card]
-
About [About Card]
If you have all of this filled out, you should see your points increase! To verify this, simply go to your points page:
And next to “User Profile (100)”, you should see Quantity 1 and Points 100!
Hope this helps!

Hopefully this makes it easier to understand. Can we sticky this?

Can I edit it to get ANOTHER 100 points?

Unfortunately, no, but at least you got 11 for spicing and replying to this thread.

Thanks for this post. For the longest time… while I have been short on points a profile tip would display directing me to upload a photo and edit my summary info - both of which I had included since I joined. It wasn’t until this post that I made it past the 100. Couldn’t figure out what was missing since I had included all the * fields.
Happy to be a Sonora now

Yes. I filled all, and suddenly got 100 points. Well its before i read this thread.
Just guessing what to fill.

I’m glad this is here. I found and responded to an older thread instead of making a new one.
But, I don’t see that I have any missing fields and I still don’t have the points. Would you have a look, please?

For some reason, it wasn’t recognizing your picture (avatar). But a well placed kick seems to have fixed the issue. And now you’re about 100 Points until Poblano!

I filled out all those fields and I still have 0 points? does it take time?

Hi Emilia, it should automatically update. It looks like it was missing a field so I went ahead and filled that in for you and I now see you as a Sonora! I’ll reply to the email in just a moment.

Seems like quite a few fields to fill in. I’m never entirely sure I want to display my company name or exact address for all of the world to see.

It’s definitely not necessary to do that, only to get the 100 points. You can also get Spice Points for doing other things such as simply engaging in conversations, getting Best Answers & Helpful Posts, doing surveys, etc, etc.
Under your Account Settings, there is a section about “Points” that will tell you all the things you can get points for:

I understand, about to hit Tabasco >.<
Just wondering what the information is even asked for though. Seems a little bit invasive. I may be happy to put my information in totality if there was an option to hide it from every prying eye.

One thing to note is, while not completely private, a SpiceHead has to be a certain level before they can even see any of those details. Originally you could set one of four options (and you still can if you are using the old profile system) but the new “people” pages hard lock it to Poblano or higher before they can see those details. So if you look at someone’s profile when logged out (or just in Incognito mode for Chrome), you’ll notice personal info doesn’t appear.
That said, if you’re (as in anyone reading this) don’t want to disclose that information to anyone, I’d recommend not filling it in.
