Newbie to the IT Profession

Just finished my Associates Degree in Cyber Security, found a job working as IT Tech with a focus on hardware. Just finished up my fourth week, and I can honestly say I have made the right career choice. I just wanted to share that with the SW community. If you have any questions for me just ask away.

Awesome. Resolve to learn one new thing you didn’t know every day. For now, get some solid experience under your belt, but don’t take your eyes off of security if that’s where you really want to go eventually. It’s all too easy to get sidetracked or pigeonholed in IT. That’s not always a bad thing because sometimes you stumble on a career path you never thought of in the first place. Find your dream job and do it on purpose. You’ll get there in time.

Congrats, and welcome! Hopfully you’ll find the Spiceworks community (and softwares) as helpful as i did when i joined 10 years ago! This community is a great resource and I’m sure there are those here that will greatly appreciate your participation and insight with regard to Cyber Security.
