Where's International Women's Day?

I must say, I was looking forward to flipping my Eaton desk calendar to reveal what fun they wrote for International Women’s Day, only to reveal… a story about some guy winning the lottery.

There’s towel day and unicorn day, but what about IWD?

On one hand it is hard to keep track of all the national ‘X’ days, but on the other… International days are fewer and, in my view, more important. And this one… seems more important especially in a “male dominated” field like IT…

So yeah, I agree it is a fail for a Calendar with an “of the day” format to miss this one.

I agree! What a miss! That is on me. We were excited about the Superheroes of the month showcasing bada$$ women that something so obvious and important was missed. Thanks for point it out @rburch!

Definitely a miss and probably my fault. We had it in 2021 and I’m not sure what happened when I compiled stuff for 2022.

And to think I was part of the committee to do the worldwide IWD event at Eaton a few years ago! Ugh. These calendars are a doozy and made for the brain of @mikedecamp . I was trying to do a favor by taking over, and he is quickly realizing why not to trust me with such tasks…

I really doubt you two realize how refreshing you are for an old cynic like me. Everybody makes mistakes. It’s so nice to hear an honest, “I/we whiffed on that one”.

PS. It can pay off too, because I for one am thinking, “If these two represent their company, I need to pay more attention to Eaton products.”

@molly-eaton ! Awww, don’t throw yourself over the coals. Women need to lift eachother up, especially today, right? I appreciate everything you do, and since I know how much Eaton actually promotes diversity, I thought it was strange this got missed. I feel like that’s a good place to be, where people expect that you’ll shout out the unsung and underrepresented <3
