Feedback on Regional Contests Water Cooler

Hey SpiceHeads, I think since we’ve started allowing contests within the community, there has been feedback on those which are regionally based. When we posted our Best Practices for Spiceworks Contests , one of the things we require someone to call out what regions so people would know quickly if it is a contest they can participate in or not. You have to go to IT conferences. I have been in four in the last two months (mostly to hear more about GDPR,…), including SpiceWorld All Access and my room is full of Swag XD I don’t have space to put it all but every time I go to one of this I get all the swag I can XD

a shout-out to UKFast for giving a portable spare battery that you can use to charge your phone. Realy useful.

I also have a Spicerex stuff animal (waiting for the duck now) and other cool stuff.

So yea just find a conference that you find interesting (preferably free) and get all the swag you can XD

You are just not trying hard enough lol!

I live in Scotland and have had a few good bits of swag, plus I even once won a $250 Amazon voucher (rapidly converted into a 27" monitor for home! ).

SW Rubiks cube, T-shirts (including the new one), a bag of SW logo M&M’s, a Sophos USB stick wristband, a Spicerex Christmas ornament, maybe some more stuff - one thing I don’t have (yet) is a mug but one is said to be coming my way soon!

Hmm. I know that when we host contests, legal tells us which countries have laws against the type of contest we’re running. So sometimes that comes into play for us, personally. (Can’t speak for our partners.) I think the UK usually falls on the side of allowing most contest types though.

We’re currently pretty low on swag, as we rebuild our supplies after the re-branding. However, I did just do a sticker giveaway! Feel free to send me your address if you’d like to be included.
