Can someone help me with this script please ?

We are getting new thin clients(win 10 Pro) and are building a script that will do the following. Can someone please assist in making a powershell or any script that can achieve the below tasks ?

Change the name of the client
join the active directory domain
Push the VMware horizon client onto the desktop of the thin client

If there is an executable with parameters for the client install, put that in your script.

No idea if the PowerShell stuff above works - I never tried it.

You may be stuck with a reboot after running that before you can install your application.

Check out PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory - it could probably handle some of this for you, and be useful for a lot more that just this issue you are dealing with.

rename-computer
add-computer
I’m not familiar with the client, depends on your needs, could be as easy as copying a shortcut (copy-item) to starting an installer (start-process) etc.

Give it a try. if you get stuck, feel free to post the code you have tried.
