Is there a exercise i can practice fixing obviously it would require breaking server side or even client side looking mainly at active dir on server 2012 if someone could mention a way to break it that i could practice fixing that would be brilliant thanks

You want to break active directory then learn how to fix it?

Do this in a lab, first start by setting up active directory and understanding what it is, how it works and why it’s there, you don’t just break things so you can fix them, especially if you don’t know why what you did worked.

Create a little virtual lab with Hyper-V and with that lab learn to properly design and configure AD (would probably be worth using some Windows cert books as a reference). You’ll likely learn more, than creating an AD environment, picking something random to change (breaking it) and undoing the change.

Maybe installing a keyboard with a full stop or comma ?

Plugging out the power may break it…else just eject 3 or more HDD…it will definitely break it as most RAID can support up to 2 HDD failures…seldom 3.

If your DC is a VM , you need to practise backing it up and restoring it. That’s the best practise to have . Do this in a lab enviormnent , not production else you may cause a few problems.

Delete all AD users and computers. Reboot into Active directory Sevice’s restore mode restore deleted objects.
