copy excel file to a new file

We have Excel 2016 document with too many formating formuales etc. We need to copy this document to a new file as it is with all the formating anfd fomrulaes.

Any advise on how to do it without losing any content?

Save As and give it a new name.

the reason we want to do this is because we believe the original file is corrupted. for some reason the new changes go missing and file reverts back to a date which we reckon it got corrupted after the excel document crashed while the user was working on. hence we thought to copy the contents to a new document rather than just saving the same document in a different name.

New workbook and copying contents is the same as a save as. Save as is less work and easier.
If content is corrupt, either way is going to keep corrupt data. You need to figure out what formula is making it corrupt. Moving data to a different file won’t fix it being corrupt.

I might consider copying the tabs, one at a time into the new workbook.

the file is updated by 3 users every week for over the last 14 months. however last week the file was updated and while saving went not responding and crashed. upon reopening the file all the chamges made were lost. the user updated this file again and saved it and from this point on the file keeps reverting back with all the updates lost.

we ran repair the file and still the same issue. hence we thought of recreating the same document on a fresh file and hence my question here.
