dropdown not showing server 2019

Hi,

How does one update the dropdown list for Operating Software to show Microsoft Server 2019 when manually adding a new device.

Can you please elaborate a bit, or maybe add a screenshot? Where are you trying to add a device? What dropdown?

Hi,

It’s part of adding or editing “Add devices > Enter data manually”. The dropdown for Operating system does not have Windows Server 2019 as an option. Also, the same dropdown does not have Windows 11 either. I’ve attached a screenshot.

Is this something updated by Spiceworks or myself.

I’m not sure if you can manually add OSes, let me see what I can find, for now, here is the help pages

FYI, Windows 11 isn’t supported from the agent perspective, so manual would be all you have anyway. You could set it as W10 and add a note for now.

@rod-it Thanks for the heads up! @itsupport2535 we have this logged with dev as it does require a code change, I’ve nudged that ticket to hopefully get it taken care of. In the meantime you could make a note as @rod-it suggested, or use “Other” for OS in the interim. I know that isn’t ideal but it would at least allow you to record the device.

Thank you! I’ve been showing Other manually until I get Collection Agent pushed out. The main two that I’ve noticed that are missing are Server 2019 and Windows 11.

I’ll keep watching for when it eventually appears.
