Excel programme doesn't run smoothly

Hi,

I have made a programme in Excel 2003 for study of stocks,it fetches the data from web(NSE India.com) .The size of programme 16MB,I reduced the size by converting to binary(xlsb) the size got reduced to 4.8MB but the problem remains same the programme is made only on formulae, no VBA is used nor any macros.

The problem is it gets hanged while fetching the data,request help.

How does it fetch the data if you are not using VBA/macros? Is the programme you’ve written an Add-In?

Hi Imaslany,

There is a data tab in excel ribbon,in that ,select option ‘from web’ and put the site link and select the table you want to fech.Thats how I did it.
