is there a way to view the current sql for a report to modify it? I want to add criteria to a report to show any open tickets and tickets (regardless of status) opened within the last 30 days, but there is no option for this. Also no option for sorting.

If you put the product into debug mode, the SQL will be logged into your production.log. But, if you’re changing so much for the report, why not start from scratch - it might be easier.
Additionally, have you looked in the App Center at shared reports to see if there’s one that does what you’re looking for? That could be your best bet. You’ll find those here: https://community.spiceworks.com/appcenter/search?term=tickets&types=reports . There’s probably a version very close to what you want, if not exactly what you want.
Good luck. And congrats on your first post. Welcome to the Community.

I did look at shared reports, however, even though im signed on, it tells me windows does not have an application that runs .json when i try to install it.
And thank you for replying!

That sounds like a weird error. Ensure you go through your Spiceworks desktop installation to get to the App Center, by clicking on the App Center in the dropdown from the nav bar at the top:

Then navigate to the report you want to install. If your problem persists, you can contact support at support@spiceworks.com and they can see what’s going on.
Jackie.
Thanks, yes I first sign on to my spiceworks desktop, then click on apps, then search for the report, then click install, it asks if i want to download or save, i have tried both ways, but it always errors out saying that windows does not have an application to run .json.
Do you know if there is a way to get the report definition, sql, from anywhere?
you said to put it in debug mode, how do you do this?
I basically want the all tickets report, but i want it to show only all open tickets and those that have been closed within the last 30 days, just displaying the ticket subject as a link, who it is assigned to, who posted it, the posting date and the status.
thanks anyway

Which report is it? Do you have a link? Maybe there is something wrong with the report, but I need that information to check it out.
