Don’t you consider it helpful to provide any info about your location nor the edition of Spiceworks because none of both infos could be found in your post nor in your community profile?

The local installable legacy Windows edition has most options for customization and is no longer available for download as announced in its soon approaching EOL deadline. So installing such an edition might only make sense for a short transitioning period which should end not later than EOL.

There exist the local cloud help desk (CHD) and the public cloud solution (helpdesk and inventory online) alternatives from Spiceworks. And as you may read in the above referenced announcement, active development of CHD has been suspended unto end of this year. Its future is unknown although support will continue.

we are an I.T. Company based in UAE, (Dubai) with 3 technicians, we need to have the ticketing system, asset management, patch management, looking for onprem installation, we can arrange the cloud VM server.

the end points include windows pc’s laptops, mac laptops.

once installed, just take us through the features.

Hi and welcome to Spiceworks. You should know this is a community of folks helping each other and not a consulting service. I daresay there are many Spiceheads here who could do the work, but it would take some time. At the same time, I am not sure if Spiceworks does everything you want.

If you look at the home page of Spiceworks community, you’ll find the following link to search for an IT service provider in or for your region:

You may change parameters if you like. And there is another search option available which allows to search for offered services which would include Spiceworks in case of your request. Although there are several IT service providers registered in UAE, I got only three answers with the above request. I don’t know if this means that other IT service providers are no longer active on the Spiceworks community and hence not sure how up to date their Spiceworks knowledge is. I’ve no idea what inactive means in that context. That might be 3 , 6 or 12 months no longer connected to the community. I guess that it is probably 6 or 12 months not present. Among the three reported, there is Western International listing Spiceworks support. It seems that @nadeermt is a Spicehead of that company.

In Brians post above , you find the link to Spiceworks free support if you’re willing to deploy Spiceworks yourself.

If you have three technicians, than I guess you have either AD or Azure AD in place and want this integrated into your instance of Spiceworks. Is this correct?

There exist three different editions of Spiceworks. None offers patch management. Asset management is called inventory in Spiceworks.

There exists a limited but current implementation in the public cloud edition, called Spiceworks Inventory Online. In the same edition, you’ll also find the public cloud help desk.
And there is the broader legacy Windows implementation which is also called Spiceworks Desktop (Windows) App. It will reach EOL by end of this year. So that edition should be considered a temporary solution if you need a quick start and can’t wait to select a different solution or edition immediately. This legacy edition is integrated with a local help desk. This edition offers the extended customization options, including UI localization.
The Spiceworks Cloud Help Desk is limited to the ticketing system running native or in local VM. It’s almost fully supported and based on the same code as the public cloud edition. The only limit to support is that its active development has been suspended a few months ago until end of this year. Further future will be decided in December of this year. As you want also inventory, this edition doesn’t sound suitable for you.

The above mentioned link to free Spiceworks support has also tabs for accessing documentation of tha various components of the various editions including system requirements and recommendations. E.g. I’ve no idea how large your deployment is, resp. how many devices and users you’ll have to support. And I still did’t get if you prefer such a temporary setup with further customization until at most end of this year or the fully supported public cloud edition with much more limitations on inventory and on customization.

You might have a look in the Spiceworks user conference, called SpiceWorld . It will be held as a virtual online conference this year again due to Covid-19 pandemic. It typically includes a tour for beginners of Spiceworks and I have not yet taken a look into the program . It will start on 27 September and last until 29 September. Registration has already started and still open. The beginners session will be on 27 September. Its subject is Spiceworks IT Tools & Apps: An Evolution, on Monday morning US CDT resp. late afternoon your local time.
