O365 Global Admin--"not a recognized name of a cmdlet"

Trying to unhide MS Teams group from Exchange so can view that teams email inbox in Outlook.
On MacOS 11.2.1
Downloaded & Installed Teams PowerShell Package
$PSVersionTable.PSVersion results show 7.1.3
Then did Install-Module -Name MicrosoftTeams -RequiredVersion 2.3.1 and selected A to approve all
Then did Connect-MicrosoftTeams and it opened a browser tab to let me log into O365.
It showed my Account, Environment, Tenant, TenantID
Next I try to use Get-UnifiedGroup -ResultSize Unlimited | Select DisplayName, Alias, PrimarySmtpAddress, HiddenFromExchangeClientsEnabled
…and get the annoying terse message “Get-UnifiedGroup is not a recognized name of a cmdlet”
Newbie, please help!

In general, the error message says PowerShell can not find the command. There are two reasons for this, generally: first you typed the name wrong. Secondly the command is not in a place where PowerShell can auto magically discover it. In some cases, module developers install the module in a folder that is NOT in the module path external variable (PSModulePath). In that case, you have to manually load the module.

You can use Get-Command to see if the command is on your host. If not, then load the correct module.

In your case, you installed the wrong module.

Thank you gentlemen for replying.

I was following an article and the author never mentioned anything about the need for a different module.

So after getting your replies I did the following:

Import-Module ExchangeOnlineManagement

and then

Connect-ExchangeOnline

and it again took me to a web tab to login

…but I still get the same error when trying to use the -GetUnifiedGroup

so now what?

I just tried it with PowerShell 7 and it seems to work fine.

When you run ‘get-pssession’ does it show it is connected?

the module ‘ExchangeOnlineManagement’ only establishes the connection, you should see an other module with a rather cryptic name that holds the actual cmdlet once you are connected.

Once you remove the session the tmp_ module disappears, which leads me to believe you were not actually connected all the way.

Again , try to connect and run ‘get-pssession’ and see if you actually see an exchange connection.

ok. Now we’re getting somewhere.

I closed Powershell down. I logged out from my O365 account via Safari, and tried again.

Connect-ExchangeOnline

Took me to a Safari page to login and it successfully did.

I then ran Get-PSSession and returned nothing.

So I’m obviously missing a step or have not gotten something loaded or connected?

To clarify: I have Office365 Business Essentials for my business and trying to run one stupid command to unhide an email inbox of one of my Teams.
