Powershell Soap request

I’m testing a Soap request using powershell just trying to access the Weather, but it throws this error.

Error:

Reading and converting file to XmlDocument: c:\miscjunk\soap-W.txt

Sending SOAP Request To Server: http://www.webservicex.net/globalweather.asmx?WSDL

Initiating Send.

Send Complete, Waiting For Response.

Exception calling “GetResponse” with “0” argument(s): “The underlying connection was closed: The connection was closed unexpectedly.”

are you 100% sure that URL is right?

What does the WSDL file look like?

Your function calls a method i.e. GetWeather that yours doesn’t. Have you tried adding it?

this could have a TON of reasons, from file too large, server too slow or overloaded, AV blocking things , to TLS (HTTPs) calls, to credentilas, etc.
You have to give more details what you are doing.

What version of PowerShell are you using? what is the OS? Does this work from a different machine?

that’s kinda my point before I troubleshoot too much, I wanted to see if we can reach it and we can not.
