Server down- vsphere client not able to connect

Hi,
This morning our server went down.
We have host running good…but the vm in the host is not able to login or start…any idea how to restart the vm in the host…

Try and restart the management agents. VMware Knowledge Base You should be able tot do this from the physical host.

Any errors? Those will help us… SOmetimes this happens when the VM is in a data partition that is full. The VM and OS within the VM is not full but the partition where the VM resides. It needs to create TEMP files to start and if you are close to being full it will take all the room. Sometime people take SNAPSHOTS and they go in the directory where the VM file sits… and they do it over and over… and it fills the partition up. Then the VM’s don’t have enough free space to create temp files and will not start.

Again, we need ERRORS, or PICTURES or something to help out more.

If linux it might need an FSCK, if windows a check disk. When the host “went down”, did it have a disk fault?

Sorry Guys…I was not able to get back as we had issues back to back…We lost internet connection aswell…Now all is set…

We have Windows 2018 server R2…We have a vitual machine…we were trying to connect the virtual machine as host…

we were not able to start the virtual machine since the host was lost…No guess how…

But we installed vsphere client again and then we got it to work…It was a Nightmare…

I am new to the servers and all…But got some lil knowledge on these…
