Hi all, the short answer is “no”.

The longer answer is we announced the end of development for the legacy Desktop 7.5 back in 2018. A little more can also be found here:

Since that announcement, we shifted to the “common codebase” approach between the Spiceworks Cloud Help Desk and the Spiceworks Help Desk Server. We’re aware it doesn’t have feature parity with the legacy Desktop. Granted, it probably never will but that is more because things have moved on since then and we’re looking to see what are the table stake features for those on legacy for a great migration path.

As many of you know, while I’ve been with Spiceworks for more than a hot minute, I am new to working directly on the help desk so I still have some catching up to do. That said, had a meeting with @sushma-spiceworks , @benb , and @elizabeth-ronco-spiceworks just this morning about what the plans for CHD & HDS look like over the course of this year. We just released a variety of updates such as HDS 1.1.0 , HDS Hyper-V , CHD/HDS New Reports , and working on a better user portal and settings as well as making it more mobile-friendly (RWD). We’re keeping track of the updates by Google and Microsoft because we know they can (and will) have a direct effect on the legacy Desktop and we want to do our best to have a quality alternative(s) for those of you who are still using it.

We’ll have more information Soon™ but this year we hope to have some more substantial updates to our Help Desk solutions. Any of you reading this who are on legacy Desktop, please take a moment not just to vote in this poll but let us know your thoughts in the responses here:
