Hello guys!

It’s me again lol…

I hope you had a great holidays with yours.

I am looking for a script that allow to me get information about all my VM’s (I am using MS HyperV) and save in a file.

Has anyone done something like that?

I’ve been reading a bit and I know the IP address can be extracted, but I need more information, such as memory, storage, installed applications and OS version.

Any idea where to start?

Thank you in advance.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

Why would you go to the effort of scripting it, when tools like Veeam ONE Free Edition for VMware and Hyper-V will monitor and report on the VMs for you, suggesting spec changes for best performance etc.

{"@type":"Person
Rod-IT
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/Rod-IT"}},{"@type":"Answer

I don’t see a mention of which hypervisor you’re using.

You posted this in PowerShell so I’m assuming you want a manual solution here, but it sound like a good use for PDQ (or any similar tool.) With PDQ Inventory, you could just create a scan profile to get exactly the info you’re looking, and even create a dynamic collection to discover your VMs and scan them in particular.

{"@type":"Person
Jrx1216
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/Jrx1216"}},{"@type":"Answer
