I’m not sure what your experience is, but I will assume that you are very new to the field. My suggestion would be either read the CompTIA Network+ book, or take a class in networking. If you choose to utilize just the Network+ book, you may have to bring in other resources to help understand many of the concepts. Youtube can also be a excellent resource for how-to’s and other types of information.
