I got involved with Spiceworks looking for something to manage our inventory and possibly provide ticketing. Was also looking for some rudimentary monitoring. That was like a million years ago - 2009 or something like that.

Not even sure how I found SW. Just looking around I reckon.

I started using Spiceworks way back in the Fall of 2008. We needed a better helpdesk system, my network admin suggested SW, I’ve been a rabid fan every since! Unfortunately my current gig has a different HD system, but I’m still here, somewhat active in the community, and I love going to our regional SW meetings!

I got involved with Spiceworks when I started my current job four years ago. The other IT guy was using the Inventory software, and I had been using Excel with barcodes I’d personally made up at prior jobs. I fell in love with the community and have been here ever since.
