how do I get to delete my account?

I just asked a question, and replies starting getting aimed at me as a person for not liking a particular thing, rather than focusing on answering the question, so I think I’ll just clear my desk and be a lurker from here on in.

I’m tired, fed up, sensitive, Autistic, have ADHD, and just want to focus on the sh/t that matters. I can’t be doing with irrelevance.

Anyway, where do I go, who do I need to speak to?

I am sorry you had that experience.

You can report the behavior by clicking on the down arrow on the right of the title and choose Report. I think the moderators try to address that behavior but they need our help reporting it. The forum is for sharing knowledge and helping each other out, but some people can sometimes go beyond that. Please report it and give the moderators a chance to address your concern.

I hope you stay.

You can cancel your account yourself as noted by Patrick above, but you can also write to community@spiceworks.com if you want us to do it for you. Happy to help if that is what you still want, but I also hope you give the site another chance.

Yeah, report the posts first. No one like a**holes who decide to just attack someone here.

But now, if you’re asking actually simple questions, then getting wound up because users here ask you why you haven’t done basic research yet, well, that’s going to happen. I’ve seen it happen MANY times over the years. And yeah, lots of time the OP takes it as a personal attack when it’s really a legitimate challenge. As long as no one makes it truly personal, you just have to be professional and do your due diligence prior to posting.

But if you think you’re being attacked, definitely report it. There are too many genuinely good and helpful people in this community to lose out on this resource.
