Good Morning everyone,

Im currently having issues getting my new clonezilla to work correctly, Prior to this i had another clonezilla server that worked just fine but needed to replace it since it had problem with the motherboard dyeing out and so i got a replacement desktop computer.

My problem is after setting up clonezilla on the new server and trying to boot to a target station even my laptop i get this message. Not sure if im doing something wrong or if i’m missing something. I followed the same steps as my prior server. Here is a screenshot of the error

Running on VMWare 12, Operating under Ubuntu 14 with Latest Version of ‘Clonezilla’ today.

If someone can help me with this, im all out of ideas. thank

Do you have a DHCP server setup? One thing that has been noted a couple of times is that in the DHCP settings is to use the IP address of the imaging server, not the hostname. Faster machines are already past the IP setup by the time DNS answers with the resolved name.

Give the Clonezilla server a fixed IP and then in DHCP Option 66 use the Clonezilla servers IP address.

Jim is 100% correct here but I imagine if you just make the new Clonezilla server the same IP address as the old one, it will work fine. But the answer is above, this info is doled out as part of DHCP.

I cant believe i forgot to check that of all things wow. lol, thanks so much for your time jim and chad
