We have a few site around the country that are connected via T1’s Is there a way to set up the scan to include the remote sites?

I would like to know if this is possible too.
My thinking would be to setup VPN connections to the remote site and then setup the IP address range of thoses site for SW to scan.
Only problem I can see it the time SW would take to scan the remote sites and you may need to manually connect the VPNs
