The following tables summarize common bandwidth requirements.

Because there are so many variables, such as payload size and actual transmission rates, all values are approximate.

Table 21 highlights the fact that WAN bandwidth requirements vary significantly with different protocols. The table does not take into account VAD and header compression, but they can significantly complicate bandwidth requirements.
