DJI updates D-RTK 3 with Matrice 400 support, GNSS upgrades

DJI has rolled out a major firmware update for its D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Base Station, introducing support for the newly released Matrice 400 drone and boosting performance for enterprise surveying and mapping operations.

The new firmware, v14.01.00.03, significantly enhances compatibility and positioning accuracy. Most notably, the D-RTK 3 can now operate in Base Station mode with the Matrice 400, enabling RTK coverage of up to 40 km — ideal for wide-area missions in construction, agriculture, and public safety.

The Matrice 400 RTK, launched earlier this month, builds on the success of the Matrice 350 series. It offers modular payload support, dual-battery redundancy, and advanced onboard AI features, making it DJI’s most powerful enterprise platform to date. With support from the updated D-RTK 3 base station, operators can expect centimeter-level positioning in even the most challenging environments.

In addition to Matrice 400 compatibility, the update introduces new PPP (Precise Point Positioning) integration with Galileo HAS and BeiDou B2b signals. This upgrade enhances satellite availability in the Asia-Pacific region and improves calibration accuracy — an especially useful improvement for global enterprises.

The firmware also addresses workflow and usability issues:

  • It resolves a PPK (Post-Processed Kinematic) issue in DJI Terra software by optimizing GNSS observation file storage.
  • It improves site evaluation prompts in the DJI Pilot 2 app for better field efficiency.
  • It fixes video transmission quality checks between DJI Dock 3 and relay stations when using DJI Enterprise.
  • It optimizes warning message logic in FlightHub 2 when using non-standard PoE power supplies.

DJI advises all users to update their aircraft, remote controllers, and D-RTK 3 units to the latest versions to ensure full functionality.
