THE FUNDING RECEIVED THROUGH YOUR MEMBERSHIP GOES TOWARD SUPPORTING A SMALL TEAM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAILY OPERATIONAL TASKS REQUIRED FOR MAINTAINING ALL ASPECTS OF THE DSPACE COMMUNITY. THEY PROVIDE ON-GOING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, COORDINATION, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, AND CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT OF THE CORE SOFTWARE.

IN ADDITION, THE DSPACE LEADERSHIP GROUP AND THE DSPACE STEERING GROUP PROVIDE THE VISION, ROADMAP, AND DIRECTION FOR THE FUTURE OF DSPACE.

Tim Donohue

DSPACE TECHNICAL LEAD

Tim is the Technical Lead for the DSpace program. He coordinates community participation in the open source development process, including helping define the roadmap and organizing development meetings. He has been a DSpace Committer since 2006, and joined the DSpace program team (previously at DuraSpace) in 2009. He has a degree in Computer Science (University of Notre Dame) with a Masters in Library and Information Science (University of Illinois). Prior to joining the world of libraries and repositories, he was a Technical Architect for a small consulting firm that specialized in Documentum document management solutions for Fortune 500 companies. In all, Tim has over 20 years of professional software development experience, with over 15 of those in the open source realm.

DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL OUTREACH

Michele is the Sr Global Strategist at Lyrasis. His primary responsibility is to broaden and extend the organizational reach and strengthen global partnerships in support of the preservation and accessibility of cultural heritage and academic resources globally.

15% of Michele’s time is dedicated to DSpace, to support the Governance, the global outreach and the international partnerships.

DSPACE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

As DSpace Program Coordinator, Holger serves as the nexus around anything DSpace.

He supports the program’s governance, user and membership activities, the technical development team, outreach and engagement, and more.

His work focuses on fostering continuous program growth and identifying opportunities for collaboration and communication among the DSpace community.

DSPACE TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER

As Technical Support Engineer, Lia aims to ensure the success of both contributors and users of DSpace.  She helps facilitate developer processes, provides technical assistance to the DSpace user community, and supports the activities of the Technical Lead.

She has a degree in Computer Science and experience in software development across various realms, including commercial applications, open-source tools, and scientific research.
