Denied GitHub Student Pack Application Without Reason #173755

Hi everyone,Hello, I recently applied for the GitHub Student Developer Pack (on Sept 17, 2025), but my application was denied. The denial message did not provide any reason (screenshot attached). I uploaded valid proof of my student status, and I am currently enrolled as a student. Since no reason was given, I’m not sure what went wrong or what I should fix before reapplying. Could the Education team please clarify why my application was rejected, and guide me on what’s needed for approval? Thank you! |

Hello @ExWhyZed9, I faced the same issue several times in the past, but eventually got approved. Here’s what worked for me: Make sure your student ID card or proof of enrollment clearly shows your full name, the university name, and a recent date. Good luck |

the mostly this error occur when your GitHub profile name and your id card name are not same make sure they are same |

I faced the same issue several times in the past, but eventually got approved. Here’s what worked for me:
Make sure your student ID card or proof of enrollment clearly shows your full name, the university name, and a recent date.
If your application is being rejected instantly, double-check that your document is not blurry and that all details are readable.
Try to apply from your university location or while connected to your school’s network, if possible (sometimes location/IP can help).
If you still get rejected, contact GitHub Education support and explain your situation.
Don’t give up! I succeeded after a few tries. You can also check my profile for reference.
