Aggressive safety prospect with the range and ball skills to generate takeaways. Might be on the smaller side, but isn’t afraid to throw his weight around and hit with a message-sending purpose, although he must get better at shedding blocks and finding his run fits. Explosive jump metrics (24-feet in the long jump) consistently show up on tape as he gets from hash to hash and will make acrobatic plays in the deeper quadrants of the field. At his best when he’s deployed in a single-high or two-high look as active eyes can lead him to the football. Not a ton of context as to what he looks like in 1-on-1 coverage, but has displayed some lateral burst and looser hips while doubling as a wide receiver, which suggests that he might be able to handle a nickel role at some point down the line. Overall, should be viewed as a twitchy back-end defender with the toughness and instincts to emerge as a multi-year starter and possible impact player at the Power Four level.
