The giant puzzle was assembled overnight near Bristol
A giant Sudoku puzzle measuring 275ft x 275ft appeared overnight near Bristol.

The 81-square grid, which appeared in a field at Hinton Farm in the early hours of Wednesday, can be seen from villages up to three miles away.

Fans of the game are predicting that an estimated 1m commuters and tourists travelling east out of Bristol will also be able to view the puzzle.

Guinness World Records have confirmed the hillside riddle will gain a place in the record books.

The squares in the giant brain teaser measure 30ft x 30ft, while each number is a towering 15ft high.

A team of 20 designers from Sky One television channel worked overnight to create the design, which was especially commissioned to celebrate a new programme.
