- Sorry for the lack of free news updates the last few days, I'm still trying to catch up. All of our premium members-only content has been updated, including the new issue of Figure Four Weekly with one of the longest stories I have ever written about the Orlando weekend and the retirement of Ric Flair. We've gotten some great reviews so far, which makes me happy since getting that thing done nearly killed me. It's also the longest newsletter that has ever been published on this website. We've also got several new audio shows up, including a post-WrestleMania update with Lance Storm playing off our prediction show last week. Oliver Copp, who was at Mania, was on Wednesday, Derek Burgan will be up Friday to talk other live Mania-weekend festivities, and Dave Meltzer should be on late Saturday night (so yes, a bonus Figure Four Daily this week). Not sure about the Bryan & Vinny Shows but we may do two this week as there is so much to cover. I'll worry about that later. We will get around somehow to discussing Smackdown, ECW, TNA, Ultimate Fighter and Ultimate Fight Night, so it'll either be two shows or one weekend mega-show. Thanks again to everyone for all of your support, we hit a new subscriber record this week and I really appreciate it! - Former wrestling star Hardbody Harrison was sentenced this week to life in prison for committing multiple violations of federal sex trafficking and forced labor statutes in connection with a scheme to force women into prostitution. - Didn't get a chance to mention this in our EXC story in the newsletter, but the show this past Saturday headlined by Frank Shamrock and Cung Le did a $1.1 million gate, making EliteXC/Strikeforce the only other wrestling/MMA group in America to top $1 million outside WWE, UFC and PRIDE. Yes, even WCW never broke that record at the peak. Attendance was 15,192. - Speaking of Kimbo Slice, he is apparently scheduled to be on the cover of ESPN Magazine. Thanks to Mark Coale. - Thank You Ric, by Lance Storm. Also, a happy 39th birthday to Lance! - Edge vs. Undertaker for the title and Kane vs. Chavo have been added to Backlash. - A bunch of upcoming dates. Buddy Wayne and I will be wrestling each other (the ten-year feud continues) on April 11th at the Tulalip Boys & Girls Club in Tulalip, WA, then we'll be doing a lucha show (seriously) on April 16th at Qwest Field in Seattle (also seriously). And then, at the end of the month (April 25th) I will be in Pittsburgh PA to defend -- yes, defend -- the ICW/ICWA Texarkana Television Title against Larry Sweeney, Ruckus and Delirious in a FOUR-WAY. More on that in the next few days. - Raw did a 3.9 and Hall of Fame did a 2.1. Flair drew ratings one last time. ECW did a 1.3. - Nattie Neidhart debuts this Friday on Smackdown. - If anyone is interested in recapping TUF every week, let me know. Thanks! - Indy results with DAN~!
IWS "Know Your Enemies" results - Announced fro the 4/26 IWS show: Eddie Kingston vs. Beef Wellington, El Generico vs. Max Boyer for the IWS Canadian Title, Jake Matthews vs. Green Phantom, Kevin Steen vs. Jimmy K for the IWS Title, and 2.0 vs. Franky The Mobster & Twiggy for the IWS Tag Team Titles. - IWA Mid-South announced on their message board that they are finished running shows in Plainfield, Indiana. They plan on opening their own school and using a building in Jeffersonville as their home base. The upcoming Plainfield shows will now take place at the Sports Zone in Indianapolis, Indiana. - Alan Lee has an interview with our own Dr. Keith here - From Duke: Kaiju Big Battel: Danger Strikes Back! in Providence, RI 3/29/08 Results: Hero Intern '08 (with Hawaiian Paddler Tadd Bradley) defeated D.W. Cycloptopuss (with Unibouzu); Neo Teppen and American Beetle defeated Team Space Bug (Yarsminko and Dai Hachi Hachi) to retain the Double Danger Tandem belts; Chris Hero defeated Super Wrong; Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder defeated Sun Buster; Call-Me-Kevin defeated Dusto Bunny to retain the Kaiju Grand Championship - Lance Storm with a WrestleMania recap - And more - Our updated list of Figure Four Weekly guests is up here. Thanks as always to ACIDHELMNUN~! Every one of these shows is available right now for subscribers, and this is only Figure Four Dailies; subscribers also get our full archive of Bryan & Vinny Shows, Adam & Mikes, Five Star Radios, Dr. Keith Shows, and Karl Stern Shows. And the newsletter. Anyway, I could go on and on. Just sign up! - That's Hogan's new girlfriend, not Brooke
