Days of Cal: A Virtual Tour through U.C. Berkeley's History

cal fact: People got to Berkeley in the early days on a railcar, pulled by a horse, along Telegraph Avenue. Later, trains ran up Shattuck Avenue to a station downtown, a block from the campus edge. Streetcars connected the campus with the rest of the East Bay and with ferries that crossed the Bay to San Francisco.
