Delayed Entry Program: Preparing for Success

Preparing to become a Recruit
In order to prepare you for the challenges of recruit training you'll spend time in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP). The DEP allows time to prepare, delaying departure for recruit training for up to a year. Recruiters will work with you to help you meet initial strength requirements, and to increase your endurance. During the DEP, you'll also learn proper nutrition and you'll polish your study habits. Preparation is the key to success in recruit training and throughout your Marine Corps career.
