The Los Angeles Legends W-League team is pleased to announce the first two official player signings for the upcoming 2009 season. "Charney & Kylie exemplify the direction we are headed with Legends FC." said LA Legends General Manager Ramon Reid. Charney Burk is currently a member of the U-20 National Team and plays collegiately at Portland University. Kylie Doniak has been a member of the national team from 2006 - 2008 and plays collegiately at University of Texas.

Legends FC has been selected to represent the Nike Brand at the highest level they offer youth soccer programs. Legends FC are now one of seven clubs in California that will sport the Nike Premier Club Logo. The 6 other clubs have all been around for 15 years+.

The LA Legends are pleased to announce the hiring of new W-League Head Coach, Twila Kaufman.  Kaufman is currently the Associate Head Coach at Pepperdine University as well as a former player in the W-League. "I’m really excited about the opportunity to raise the level!" says Kaufman. "What’s most exciting is every player is eager, fully committed to being part of a community, not just playing games. Kevin Gallaugher, a junior at Cal State Dominguez Hills (2008 NCAA II Champions), was named "2008 NCAA II Player of the Year" as well as "Most Outstanding Defensive Player" in the 2008 NCAA Division II Championship Tournament.
