ObituaryMarcus, 3 days before his death

On Tuesday September 7th 2004 at 12.33 p.m. we lost our precious son, the light of our lives and a great personality, to this terrible disease. We do not know the exact cause yet, but it appears that the growth of lymph vessels has more or less exploded in his lungs over the past month. He knew what was coming and was kept free of pain as he peacefully took his last breaths in his mother's arms and with his sister and father holding his hand. Though it was sudden and unexpected, he is now free – free of pain and of feeling different and afraid all the time. That is our biggest comfort in this great moment of grief. We also feel that the last 2 years has been a gift from Marcus to us. We will not up-date and communicate on the website for a while, but will keep our guestbook open. Thanks for all the support you have shown US over the last couple of years.

On Friday Marcus would have turned eight years old – instead we will have his funeral. May he rest in peace!

Robert, Annette & Helena
