SOCAR plans to completed full gasification of Azerbaijan only by 2021

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azeriqaz, a sub-company of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), intends to ensure full gasification of the country by 2021.

Nazim Samedzadeh, first deputy general director of Azeriqaz, says that reconstruction of thre old gas system in regions will be over by 2013.

“We expect to finish the reconstruction of old gas system in villages by 2013 and the program on development of regions covers that. Another question is new gas line laying. These works will be carried out in 2018-21. Our country has such high-mountain regions where use of other fuel is much rational,” Samedzadeh said.
