Transit of Venus June 5-6 2012

June 5-6 2012, Venus will pass directly between the Earth and the Sun. The exact timing of the event depends on your location on Earth. The National Solar Observatory Integrated Synoptic Program (NISP) will observe the transit at 5 sites in it's global network of solar telescopes. During the event, NISP will produce:
  • Images from around the globe at 1-minute cadence.
  • Movies of last 2 hours and 8 hours (Hosted on YouTube Channel)
  • Composite images showing Venus trail.
