Rich Hancock is in a tight race for HD-102, a district that is essential if the Texas General Assembly is to be finally put in control of the Democrats. Abel is a DFA success story. He attended our Training Academy and went on to win a seat on the Peralta Community College Board in 2006 despite long odds. Since then, Abel has championed a series of major reforms that helped protect career education and job training programs at Peralta. Guillen also spearheaded the effort to divest the community college’s funds from Wall Street banks and into local community based banks that making investing in the local economy a priority.

C. Alexander Weimer is an advocate for the rights of educators, parents, and students. In his own words, "we need to give students back their right to an education".
Weimer has worked for the U.S. District Court in New Mexico and the New Mexico Circuit Court of Appeals. He is currently working in the City of Rio Rancho Municipal Court to create a youth program for offenders under 21. His tireless dedication to educational rights and reform has earned him this DFA endorsement.

As the Lane County Commissioner since 1997, Pete Sorenson has worked to protect the people and the environment in South Eugene by building towards a sustainable economy. Nationally, he helped pioneer a fight for limiting lead in drinking water.

Jeff Carr is a progressive Democrat who has served on the New Mexico Public Education Commission (PEC) since 2009. He is also a central committee member for the Democratic Party of New Mexico and plans to run for National Committeeman and National Delegate. Carr is a committed fighter for educational reform and students' rights.
Upon reelection, he plans to spend his energy increasing funds for public education and advocating for students, families, and educators.

Sean Patrick Maloney, former advisor to President Bill Clinton, is a veteran of job creation and responsible spending. He is dedicated to making college affordable for all Americans, and putting an end to overseas corporate tax breaks.
Maloney is a running a community-based campaign. In his own words, "volunteers... are the lifeblood of our campaign and they remind us every day of what we're fighting for." That grass-roots driven attitude is the bedrock of DFA and we're proud to stand with Maloney in his race for Congress.

Since after joining the University of Michigan Law School faculty in 1998, Bridget Mary McCormack has been responsible for greatly improving the school's practical training curriculum by expanding clinical offerings to train lawyers in subjects ranging from domestic violence to human trafficking. She also founded the Michigan Innocence Clinic, which represents the wrongfully convicted. The clinic has exonerated six people and works to spread awareness about the justice issues surrounding wrongful conviction. McCormack teaches and has published scholarly articles on issues of criminal law and the ethical practice of law.
McCormack's integrity, devotion to protecting the rights of children and families and commitment to providing fairness in the application of the law have earned her DFA's endorsement.

When Angie Buhl was first elected in 2010, she became the youngest female state Senator in South Dakota's history. After just one term in office, she has proven that she is a progressive advocate who cares about her constituents. Angie is dynamic, people-centered, and assertive. Her top priorities next term include campaign finance reform, job growth, clean energy, and government transparency.
