Maryland Questions & Answers
Q: Does my previous asylum application ( which had been terminated) bar me from adjustment of status through marriage?

Most likely not, all asylum applications are confidential and they are often private, so withdrawing an asylum petition will not have any negative effects on your AOS process. I highly recommend having an immigration attorney help you with the AOS. Many immigration attorneys including me offer free consultations, make use of the consultations.
All the best.

Q: My mother has a reverse mortgage on her house and there will be a negative equity of $50,000 owed when she passes.

Assuming that your mother's reverse mortgage is federally insured, upon her death the outstanding balance of the mortgage becomes due, however, neither her estate nor any anyone inheriting from her estate will become liable for that debt. In your mother's case where there is no equity in property, the mortgage is greater than the value of the property, the mortgage company will either take back the property or sell it, but in either event any losses are covered by the federal insurance. When...
Q: Can I record a IME appointment in Maryland for my own protection? I have had them lie before and never exam me.

This is not a good idea. If you wish you may bring a family member or friend into the examination room with you.
Q: Please, What documents should I submit with my I-864 since I do not work or file tax?

More information is needed regarding your employment history, any tangible and intangible assets you might have. I suggest you contact an immigration attorney via email or phone to get help with this process as soon as you can. Many immigration attorneys including me offer free consultations, make use of the consultations. All the best.

Q: How can I sue an inmate who falsely accuses me of a crime that did not happen?

Lawsuits are generally initiated by filing a complaint. A local lawyer can assist.

Q: I'm a born US Citizen , My fiance lives in DR, Is it better to Wed in his country or apply Fiance visa

It depends on how soon you want to get married and how long you are willing to live away from each other. If you get a fiance visa, your fiance can come here, get married and live with you until the Green card gets approved. But the processing time for a fiance visa is a minimum of 6 months. On the other hand, if you go there and get married she can not come back to USA until her green card gets approved which might take about 6 to 8 months. So you both have to weigh your options and decide on...

Q: What do I show as my AGI in question 18 in form I-864? I'm a SAHM. File joint tax return.

You would list individual income. If you earn zero, put zero. Your husband should list his income. The tax returns along with W2s, 1099s and all schedules should be submitted. USCIS only looks at the AGI.
Q: I sponsored a child to come to the USA about three years ago,and no Paternity Testing was required by immigration

It is always a good idea to notify USCIS, but there will probably be repercussions (e.g. child is put into removal proceedings). However, if this error is not corrected it will continue to be propagated (e.g. when he goes to naturalize). The fact is that you now have knowledge to an issue that is "material" (if USCIS knew before making the decision, it would not have approved the case).
Q: Does filing I-130 for my 21+ unmarried child in F-1 post completion OPT result in voidance of his F-1 Status in USA?

The I-130 is an immigrant petition, whereas, the F-1 student status is a nonimmigrant status. You should retain counsel to handle this matter.
Q: Is it possible to obtain copies of or access one's PAST employment authorization documents (which agency)? Thank you.

If you are asking how you can get a copy of EADs (Employment Authorization Documents issued by USCIS), you can file a FOIA and it should provide you with the EAD Approval Notice (not the actual card). If you submitted copies of the cards with a petition (for example for EAD renewal), then these copies would appear in the FOIA response. To get copies of the actual card, you may have to call USCIS National Customer Service Center.
Q: What can I send in if I have no proof of school?

What application did you file? If you filed for DACA, you are supposed to either be currently in school or have obtained a diploma (or GED). If you are no longer in school, you may no longer qualify. Once you obtain your GED, you can then submit your GED. It is best to retain counsel for this matter.
Q: I am a German citizen and my financial trustee in USA, who is also my uncle does not let me to leave back home from USA.

How old are you? Without knowing this, it is not possible to tell you whether you can get your passport back or not. Many immigration attorneys including me offer free consultations, make use of the consultations and talk to an attorney soon. All the best.

Q: my mom has been in india since 8 months got sick and is unable to travel immediately...can she extend her stay without

Any stay more than 6 months is not recommended but in your mother's case since she is sick she may be able to keep her green card if she can show proof of all the medical records and prove that the stay was unavoidable. She should have applied for a re-entry permit before leaving which would allow her to stay outside the US for 2 years. Anyways work with an immigration attorney to help you with this process. All the best.

Q: Is the below medical malpractice?

I don't think you have a medical malpractice case. Your daughter's injury, thankfully, is extremely unlikely to cause real harm. Even if your daughter eventually got cancer -- which is extremely unlikely -- no expert could link a single CT scan back to cancer.
