You do not have a lot of options, regrettably. You need to hire a lawyer unless the amount of the damages sought makes that impractical. You can try to defend the case yourself but that is going to be an uphill battle to be sure. Good luck Gary!

In most cases involving injury at a personal home, the homeowner's insurance carrier will not pay out funds unless there is some fault on the part of the homeowner. Some policies have Medical Payment coverage which does pay for medical bills even without the showing of fault. Contact a local attorney to review the facts. Good luck.

1 Answer | Asked in Criminal Law and Employment Law for Arizona on
Answered on Apr 5, 2016

If you lie about the convictions and they find out you will be fired and potentially worse. The best option is to disclose and let them know you have grown. It is usually the lying about prior convictions that gets people into trouble, not the actual conviction.

Q: Are verbal agreements binding between a used car buyer and a car dealership?

1 Answer | Asked in Contracts for Arizona on
Answered on Mar 21, 2016

Possibly. It is possible Arizona's version of the UCC applies, and a written contract may be required. More importantly though, was there a written contract eventually for the purchase? If so, that contract likely has a clause that limits the terms to the written contract, which likely excluded what you talked about. That could be difficult to then overcome. However, if they used the oral part to induce you to buy, you would have an argument that it was to be part of the contract.
