Successfully enacted legislation in the State of Rhode Island to permit people who file for bankruptcy to protect more of their possessions from being taken from them. Before the measures I sponsored and enacted into law, there were no state protections for automobiles, jewelry, furniture, and many other important possessions people need to keep.
