Q: The age of consent for Wyoming is posted as 16 and 17. However WY Stat § 6-4-303 seems to contradict this.

1 Answer | Asked in Criminal Law for Wyoming on
Answered on Oct 9, 2015

"Child" means a person under the age of eighteen (18) years. That is in (a) (i) from the 2011 statutes. But a simple internet search reveals, on google, this:The age of consent for sex is 16 years old for women, while it is 18 years old for men. Having sex with a minor below the age of consent is known as statutory rape. The age of consent law in Wyoming only specifically addresses heterosexual conduct.

This must mean that the court in Wyoming has interpreted it, that there are cases...

Answered on Sep 13, 2015

To my knowledge they seldom bother with debtors who are no longer in the U.S.
