Biography

TRAINING: Go for a run at 1pm. First training session is from 6pm until 8pm, second training session from 2am until 4am. What I do in these sessions depends on the day. We train specifically for my opponent in all sessions.

Thoughts on opponent, Rob Font? He's a good fighter or he wouldn’t be fighting in the UFC.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training seven years ago after failing to make it as a professional soccer player and I have never looked back. Nowadays I am so grateful I never quite made it as a soccer player.

What ranks and titles have you held? I am ranked in the top ten in the UK but I am number one and the only reason there is any fighter above me is because they haven't fought me.

Do you have any heroes? My biggest hero is Michael Bisping by a long way. Second is Prince Naseem Hamed and Ricky Hatton

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? If it wasn't for the UFC, this sport wouldn't exist. Honestly, when I got the call to be in the UFC, I cried. It's all I have dreamed about for the last seven years. The UFC is the best of the best and I am here to prove I’m the best and that leg-jitsu rules. I am grateful to the UFC for signing me. Mr. Dana White, I hope you get the chance to watch my fight because am going to do my best to impress you.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I didn't go to college, but I did get a degree in life

What was your job before you started fighting? I was a soccer player, and then owned a nightclub. I sold my nightclub the week before I had my first professional fight

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? I have the first and second fastest submissions in Cage Warriors history. The average time it takes me to win a fight is 48 seconds. No one in the world with eight fights or more has a faster average winning time
