TRAINING: Early morning run - three miles, shadow box, daytime strength and conditioning or wrestling and evening sparring.
 
When and why did you start training for fighting? I have been training for fighting my entire life, first as a way of self-defense then five years ago as a career path. 

What ranks and titles have you held? Fight Nights Welterweight Champion

Do you have any heroes? My father and my family, they are a big part of my life. Fedor Emelianenko.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It’s a dream come true. I want to be UFC Champion; this is the ultimate honor in our sport.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Bachelor Degree KBR, University of Russia, Moscow

What was your job before you started fighting? Student

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Fight Nights Welterweight Champion, Russian Champion Hand to Hand Combat (2009, 2013)

Favorite grappling technique: I have never won a fight by submission but my ground game is very strong. Armbar would be my favorite technique
